Hi I’m Laani…
I’m a wedding Photographer based in Suffolk and When I’m not behind the camera, my favourite thing to do is getting people together, whether I’m planning a big summer BBQ, a cozy dinner for friends with a great glass of wine, or a beautifully styled beach picnic. For me, it’s all about the small details that make an occasion feel special; I love the process of making things look beautiful and creating a space where people feel at home. I’m a firm believer that life is better when shared with family, friends, my dog (Ada), and a bit of adventure. I try to bring that same love for connection and the smaller details to every wedding I capture, ensuring your gallery feels as authentic and thoughtfully told as the day itself.
Photography hasn’t just been my career; it’s been the backdrop of my entire life. Growing up with parents who were both photographers, I was raised with a camera in my hand. Since then, photography has taken me through so many different avenues, fashion, equine, studio, —I’ve even done underwater photography!—but through all those experiences, I found my true passion in weddings.
If you’re wondering what my second passion is after photography, it’s definitely traveling! You’ll usually find me daydreaming about my next adventure or tucked away planning one. I have a deep love for exploring new places—especially anywhere I can soak up a bit of sun. My ultimate dream is to go back and travel through New Zealand with my husband in a camper, chasing surf spots and discovering hidden waterfalls along the way.

Some Fun Facts About Me…

I’ve loved traveling for as long as I can remember! My parents always prioritized experiences, using family trips as a way for us to learn and explore the world together. By the time I was just 7 years old, I’d already visited 10 different countries—immersing myself in different cultures and stepping into history.
Two moments that completely captivated me back then were exploring the floating village in Brunei and walking through the incredible ruins of Ostia Antica!
My two dream trips that I’m working towards is a road trip around America and going back to New Zealand with my husband this time to reunite with old friends and see the beautiful New Zealand countryside. (maybe squeeze in some surfing!)

I’ve always been driven by a desire to turn the ordinary into something extraordinary. Growing up, you could usually find me tucked away in my bedroom—drawing, painting, or writing poetry about my travels. (I even filled an entire notebook with poems about the things I saw while exploring New Zealand! I know I was that nerdy kid ;) )
As a child, instead of video games, I taught myself origami and loved surprising my friends and family with unique creations, crafting everything from dragons and swans to flowers and balloons.
I could easily spend hours lost in anything creative. As I grew older, that creative spark naturally led me to photography, where I truly found my passion. From the moment I picked up a camera, I knew without a second thought that this was the career for me.

I shot my very first wedding on my own at 19! I also got married myself at 19! (Crazy right, but when you know you know ;) )
It was actually my husband that believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself to take the leap and create my own business and start doing weddings completely on my own.
Without him my business would not be where it is today and I will be eternally grateful because I have got to photograph so many beautiful weddings, meet so many wonderful people and create so many lasting memories and friendships that I will take with me through life!
